NxtWall is celebrating our 10th year anniversary by looking back at how we have evolved using pioneering design concepts– while simultaneously building a strong network of dealers, representative, and preferred installers to provide a scalable product that fits your architectural needs. NxtWall began production in our Kalamazoo, Michigan facility in September 2007, with just a handful of employees. Today, NxtWall has grown into a multi-million dollar operation with both domestic and international sales. NxtWall grew from humble roots that originated 10 years ago with the advent of the field-fit, simplified framing building approach. This created a demountable wall system with extreme flexibility and was a departure from the time consuming, more expensive “unitized” or “pre-manufactured” demountable wall systems of the past. NxtWall’s unique approach delivers a floor-to-ceiling wall solution that can easily partition off an interior space without compromising quality or aesthetics. Through innovation NxtWall excelled at the field-fit building process.
NxtWall became a leader in producing quality products at a competitive price that can be shipped fast! When comparing demountable wall systems to conventional drywall constructed walls, a common misconception is that demountable walls are more expensive. Although demountable walls initially can cost more per linear foot than standard construction, the additional cost is offset by reduced build-time and an accelerated depreciation by using Section 179 of the IRS Tax Code.

ABOVE: The key to unlocking Section 179 is that demountable walls are classified as furniture and fixtures. This designation allows them to be depreciated over 7 years compared to conventional drywall construction, which is classified as a structural component of a building and therefore, must be depreciated over 39 years.
NxtWall’s modular wall partitions are easily moveable so you can reconfigure your office space with minimum downtime. Because our office walls are removable, they are a cost-effective way to remodel office space. Increase or decrease the square footage of office space in a room, quickly and with minimal additional expense.
